It's back!
The theme for the 34th weekly assignment of 2011 is "Black and White" photography. You can approach this theme from any direction. This includes sharing photographs that you captured in black and white (in your camera) or images you converted to black and white via processing. Of course, various tonal versions of black and white (such as sepia) are acceptable too! Most cameras allow you to shoot straight black and white images. Normally I don't recommend shooting black and white straight out of the camera (and thereby permanently eliminating the color in your shots), but it might be a fun way to approach this assignment. Imagine yourself shooting a roll of black and white film - it might change the way you view things as a photographer.
Another idea for this week's theme is to capture subjects that are literally "black and white" - like a zebra! OK - a zebra might be a little cheesy, but you get the drift! You are free to interpret the theme however you want!
The assignment closes at the end of the day on Sunday, August 28, 2011 - giving you plenty of time to participate!
Assignment Guidelines
Weekly assignments have been setup to challenge you as a photographer. View the assignments as an opportunity to push yourself and grow. Here are the guidelines:
You have ten days to participate!
- You can enter as many images as you wish.
- Do the best you can to capture the images during the week of the assignment (however it is understandable that this may not always be possible - so do the best you can).
- The images must be captured and processed by you.
- Please resize your images to 1000 pixels wide (or smaller) before uploading them.
- You can attach or link to your images - just make sure that the images are displayed in this thread.

Your daughter is beautiful! Love the series with your dog - especially the third shot. Enjoy it while it lasts - they grow up so fast... :)
OK, I try. Here some pigeons shot inside the city walls.
