    Cool Android Development

I'm getting pretty excited. I downloaded the Android SDK and Eclipse and set it up in my Ubuntu Virtual Machine. I went through the "Hello World" tutorial and wrote my first Android app! I'm going to explore mobile development on my Android. I can't wait to get a good book in my hands on it. :)

Cool! I would love to see what you come up with.

I'm probably going to build some kind of chord theory application. I built one a few years ago in Java. I never finished it and I lost the code. It was shaping up pretty nicely, though. Hopefully I can get an app on the Android Market. It'll certainly help in pursuing a career in mobile development.

John -Have you thought about putting together live wallpaper? As a photographer I thought it would be cool to animate some high quality images and release them as live wallpaper.

Actually, that's an excellent idea. I think I will have to do that... That could certainly be helpful in advertising my work to Android users. Thanks for the suggestion! If I do figure that out, I'll let you now. Perhaps I could put together a live wallpaper app for your work as well. If it's easy enough, I'll extend the offer to the forum.

John, I would be glad to donate any of my images to use as a background for live wallpaper. Just let me know.

I have a Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S). It's essentially the same phone as JohnB's.
