I'm far from being an expert on printing and resizing for print, but it sounds like you may have some DPI settings wrong in Photoshop. Take a look... I'm not sure what the standard DPI is, but I assume it's around 300.
I don't know if my CS5 is bugged or what, but I can not seem to size my images properly.. My larger photo looks more like a 8x10" but shows up as being liek 2x3" in the re size part
Then I try to adjust the image width and it seems to compress instead of stretch..
Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about? lol.. Hard to explain..
I'm going to be doing my first photo print and want to make sure everything turns out it's best and is prepared properly to 100% quality.
I read some articles on sizing images and getting them ready for print and it was one of the most complicated hard to understands reads I have ever read.. There must be a simple easy way to do this?

I've always had a hard time resizing images in Photoshop. Usually when I do I'm just making a smaller version of the images and depending on different requirements of the site/place I want to post it to. So for this site I just put the dpi to 72 and have the long end of my image be under 1000 pxl.
To crop to a certain size like 8x10 or 4x6 I usually use lightroom to make the crops since it has the templates for it.

Although it looks like you figured it out Patrick, some information on how to resize and attach images to the forum can be found here.
If you're exporting for print, according to WHCC they recommend 300 PPI and JPEG level 10.

ok thanks for the exporting tip.
I still haven't figured this out yet.. I know how to do most other things, just this I want to get 100% correct since it is the last step before printing, and if it's not printed out correctly, the image is ruined and I wasted money.
