“My Purpose” – Landscape Image

Lake 22 is a beautiful mountain lake located in the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. This image is made up of multiple exposures blended by hand (old fashioned HDR) and a little creativity!

This is a composite made up approximately 9-10 images. I photographed all of the images on a tripod. I exposed the first few images for the sky. Next I exposed for the mountain and lake. Since the sun was directly in front of me, I used my hand to control and block the lens flare to keep the direct sunlight from spilling onto the lake. Take a look at the unprocessed raw images below.

Finally I added the rays of sunlight and an eagle that I captured while traveling through the Ozarks. Presto!
