Just posting a quick shot of some night time portraits I just took tonight. This wasn't for a client just really me messing around the try and get a new skill set. Tell me what you think, good and bad. Hope you all enjoy.

Very cool, Chris. How about some specifics on your setup and settings?

Cool shot, Chris. You did a good job getting the exposure and color balance correct.

Looks like you had a bare flash camera left, gelled to match the street lights.

Hey thanks for the responses guys. Yes John the light is to camera left. There wasn't actually a gel on it but it was in a 24-inch softbox. My camera was in Manual Mode with the White Balance set at 5000K which seemed to balance all the ambient light with the light from the softbox nicely. My aperture was 3.8 but I was at 23mm(35mm full frame equiv.) so my DOF was still pretty deep as you can tell by the buildings in the background lol. My ISO was at 400 and that was mainly to get my Shutter Speed up some which was still at 1/4 of a second. I wanted to get some movement of the car passing but also felt I needed to retain some shutter speed to help lower the time he had to remain completely still :-). I really had fun doing the night-time photography so I may try to get out more often and experiment some more. There is some great potential for interesting and unique portrait ideas.
