It's a real bummer the Halo series is an XBox exclusive. It looks like a great game. I love Ratchet & Clank, so I have to get a PS3.

I cant believe this! We have some gaming fans here! I own a PS3 personally. Though I wish I also still had my xbox 360. Didnt seem to play it as much after I bought my PS3. We used to have halo nights all the time.

I am an old school computer gamer - I switched to the X-Box 360 when it came out. My friends and I use to have LAN parties all the time (Counter Strike, Half Life) - it was great! Then I had kids! It just got too expensive constantly rebuilding my computer all the time to keep up with the games. The final straw for me was the advent of dual video cards (when high end video cards run $400-$600 bucks)!
I barely have time to play my X-Box, but I sneak away every once in a while - usually after the kids hit the sack.

This thread has got me kind of torn on systems. I love the Ratchet & Clank series as well as Gran Turismo. Both are Playstation exclusives, but that Halo 3 preview looked very cool. Maybe I can have both, but I suspect I'd have to sacrifice a new lens or camera body for it... I like photography a lot more than video games, so I'll probably settle on the PS3.
Glad to hear I'm not the only big kid on this block! :)

Loved those LAN parties with my family and friends. Great times. I am the only one with a PS3 though so there is no LAN parties anymore. Kinda miss it. It sounds like my bro wants the new Halo so maybe there will be some parties in the upcoming future! Well John, if you do get a PS3 my gamer name is chipe13, you can invite me to be your friend on there if you want. I think I will always be a big kid!

This is certainly a great time to be a guy! There's so much that allows us to be big kids and "responsible" adults at the same time! Growing up, I never knew of men to play... I always had the impression it was all work and responsibility. I'm glad to find out that's not entirely true!

I picked up my copy from the company store the first day it came out. My daughter and I played it all the way through that first weekend. And yes, I did feel a little guilty about sitting on the couch for two days while the sun was shining. Oh wait, no I didn't. ;-) I don't get to do that very often, anymore.

I wouldn't feel guilty either.
When new Ratchet & Clank games come out, I usually play for a couple hours every night until I make it through once or twice. Then I don't touch my Playstation until the next Ratchet & Clank come out.

Ohh! I love Halo 3 and the ODST Firefight is awesome in a LAN party. Okay, I'll calm down there, sorry about that.. I haven't played in a couple weeks, I always play at my friend's house when I go over there.
