Yesterday was my oldest daughter's first day of kindergarten. She really loved it. I hope she likes school more than her daddy did!

Wow! I love it! I remember taking my 7 year old in for her first day (her first day of second grade starts in a week or so). I love the glasses - very smart. ;)

Did you document your kids first days at school? I wonder if the teachers get annoyed with parents hanging around and taking pictures... We made sure not to stay too long... Just enough to say hey to the teachers and get a few shots. I love how the ones at the desk turned out. The old wood on the back of chair has a nice color and texture and tells it all.

Yep - I took lots of pics. Mostly point and shoot images and video. My daughter broke down and started crying on her first day of Kindergarden. She panicked! I had to leave her while she balled! She ended up having a great day, but it was touch and go in the beginning.

That can be difficult! It has to be hard on you and mom to leave a crying kid behind that's scared! It has to be especially difficult to take photos! Who wants pictures of their kids crying?

Love the pics! Did you have your 580ex II on the camera? All the parents were probably wanting you to take all their kids photos too! :lol:

Thanks, Chipe! I had my flash on camera for the photos in the classroom. For the first photo, I had my flash in a shoot-through umbrella. Surprisingly, the other parents didn't seem to notice me.... or, at least, I didn't notice them too much. I saw a parent with a video recorder and another with a point & shoot. I didn't notice much else, though.
