I love the nervous jitters that come right before shooting a wedding...! I always worry that I am forgeting something. ;)

It's an outside wedding on a nice, cool overcast day! It should be perfect!

When you do a wedding, do you usually have an assistant to help?

Whew! I just finished! 10 hours almost non-stop! I couldn't have asked for a better venue and couple! I will post few pics soon.

John - my wife is my assistant most of the time. I have a wedding coming up in St. Louis soon where I will working alone for the first time. I am actually looking forward to seeing how I do working without help. Having an assistant is huge!

I think my wife would love assisting me if I were to ever shoot a wedding or do a portrait session.

How do you end up with a wedding in St. Louis? And how do you travel with all your gear like that?

My clients from the St. Louis wedding are friends of friends. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to get my gear over there (maybe pack less underwear!).

Those are great images, Steve!

I noticed something in your photos that I like to see in mine... I like to push the exposure and brightness way up until the highlights are a tad overexposed. I like bright, clean whites as I see in your photos. It's particularly evident in the table setting photo, but it's also evident in the photos of the bride and the groom above it. Do you push your exposure up in the camera, or is that something you do in post processing?

Thats awesome that your wife helps you steve! My wife is also my assistant. She has been with me on every shoot. Its very nice to have another eye too.
