I've been tossing this idea around in my head for a while and mentioned it to Steve today. He liked the idea, so I decided I'm going to set aside the time to get it started. The idea is to critique the last photo posted. Here are the rules:
Write one or more things you like about the last photo posted.[/*:m:2ak8qenl]
Write one or more things you don't like about the last photo posted and offer suggestions to improve the photo.[/*:m:2ak8qenl]
Post a photo that you want critiqued.[/*:m:2ak8qenl]
You cannot post / critique more than one photo in three days. I don't want there to be any confusion as to how often you can contribute to this thread. If nobody has commented on your photo after three days, feel free to contribute another to get the thread going again.[/*:m:2ak8qenl]
Include the EXIF data in the photo or in the post somewhere. You can view the EXIF information using the FxIF plugin (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5673) for firefox.[/*:m:2ak8qenl]
I'll start...

Great idea John! I will give it a shot.
Your photo is very crisp given the long exposure - great work locking it down. It's tack sharp. My only gripe is with what appears to be dualing color temperatures between the two lights.
I took the following image in Missouri. It is actually made up of three shots processed in Photomatix. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for playing, Steve! I appreciate your comments about my photo. I didn't notice the different color lights. Perhaps that's why I had a hard time color balancing it. :)
Just so everyone knows... The photos don't have to be recent. They can be the first picture you've ever taken if you desire.
I love the angle of the shot and the contrast between the sharpened texture of the brick vs/ the softness of the car. I personally don't like the amount of texture brought out in the ground, and there seems to be a little halo around the right side muffler.

I can't remember if I have posted this shot before or not but if I have sorry for the repeat. I took this one day when I was over at my Aunt and Uncle's house, they live next door to a small cattle farm.

I was going to reply sooner, but didn't get around to it...
Phil, I really like your photo. I like the colors, the background, the subject, the composition. Cows are fun subjects to photograph. My only beef (pun partially intended) with this photo is the cow is underexposed. I discovered recently while taking photos of my youngest daughter that I like the background somewhat blown out. I'd suggest either using the Dodge & Burn tool or Shadows/Highlights to bring up the exposure on the cow or exposing for the cow next time and let the background get blown out some.

This photo was taken after a fund raiser for my co-worker's niece who was diagnosed with cancer. I set up the shot with a bare flash on the tree in the background and another flash in a shoot-through umbrella on my daughter. When I took the first shot, I noticed the tree was blown out some and decided I really liked that.
