While I was out today I decided to stop and take some pictures of some train tracks. Interesting enough a train decided to come through at the same time. So i snapped off a few images of the train for future processing. This is one of my favs.

Your to first to post in the black and white section! Yay!

You took an unusual approach with this shot - I would love to see the original.

It would be kind of neat to see the graffiti colored into the photo.

Yeah I tried a bunch of different processing techniques on this one. I tried to selective color the inside of the train so that the image would be grey-scale and only the trees and the sky inside the train would be color. I tried to grey-scale the image and have only the graffiti in color. This is a processing technique i've had in the back of my head for awhile now and haven't ever used it so i thought I would give it a try and really loved the minimalist look and feel it gave the image. Here's the original taken as the train was whizzing by.

Edit: I am not sure where I place this original so if I can find it this afternoon I surely will but my apologies if I can't. Cheers.

Funny thing about trains is they're hard to shoot! You never know when they're going to be there and when you finally discover that they are, you either settle with a bad shot or risk a speeding ticket to get to a good location to shoot them. :)

Yours is a good photo, for sure. I like the high-contrast, sketch-like quality to it.
