The theme for the 29th weekly assignment of 2011 is "A-Pic-A-Day". I dare you to say that 10 times as fast as you can!

Here's how it works:
Take a picture once a day for at least seven days during this next week and share them here. This assignment runs for 10 days so you have three days of wiggle room just in case you can't quite snap a shot sometime during the week (But come on - don't leave your camera at home! You are a photographer, this is easy!). The idea is to get you thinking about photography and composition throughout the week - even when you're working or busy with something else. You can post day-in-the-life kinds of images or look for something out of the ordinary to share. Kneel down, look up, look back, look down - amazing images are everywhere just waiting to be discovered!

You are welcome to share the pictures all at once or each day as you capture them. The assignment closes at the end of the day on Sunday, July 24, 2011.

Assignment Guidelines
Weekly assignments have been setup to challenge you as a photographer. View the assignments as an opportunity to push yourself and grow. Here are the guidelines:

You can enter as many images as you wish.
Do the best you can to capture the images during the week of the assignment (however it is understandable that this may not always be possible - so do the best you can).
The images must be captured and processed by you.
Please resize your images to 1000 pixels wide (or smaller) before uploading them.
You can attach or link to your images - just make sure that the images are displayed in this thread.
You have ten days to participate!

The floor is like a mosaic. The two women are replacing the old stones that are missing. It will take a long time.

This is my day 2 pic. We have one corner by the house we don't mow because it's uneven and has some large rocks in it. I think the grass looks kind of cool!

It's been raining off and on here in the Seattle area - it feels more like October than July. Here are day 3 pics.

This was shot on my kitchen counter with kitchen lighting. I used my kit lens and an Opteka 31mm extension tube. 20s f/32 ISO 100 @49mm on a tripod of course.

I enjoyed a rare day of no scheduled appointments or work so I headed off to Seattle with the family!

1874
My son fueling the car!

1875
This one wasn't meant as some kind of strange, creative shot - I snapped it from the passenger seat just as we passed under the Space Needle. This is the view I had looking up.

1876
This is the very first Starbucks to ever open. It is always packed full of tourist interested in seeing it and buying a memento. Quick factoid: I worked at Starbucks while in college!

1877
There were two cruise ships docked so Pike Place Market was much busier than usual - it was literally a meat market of people!

1878
You can kind of feel the anxiety of being in the market - people were gently pushing on each other trying to move forward. The motion blur comes from me having to snap the shot while being pushed and walking!

1879
Anyone interested in losing some money?

1880
Sometimes the best pictures aren't the ones that might catch your eye first. :)

1881
A look back at the market as we are leaving.
