My Wife

Here's a photo I took of my wife this evening using a single shoot through umbrella.

I did some minor processing in The Gimp. I cloned the background layer and applied a guassian blur to it. I then added a layer mask, filled with black and painted in the blurred layer to smooth out her skin. I then adjusted the transparency of the blurred layer to return some of the original texture to keep it natural looking.

How'd I do? What could I have done better?

Yes, I know! We were supposed to do it this past Weekend, but we somehow managed to get busy or lazy. I can't remember. It'll definitely come down this weekend though. I do like having it for a background. It's much better than our drab walls.

My family is pretty laid back, thankfully. Though, we should spend more time going out doing things together.

How old are your girls? Mine are 4 and 1 1/2. They are total opposites of each other. One can sit and watch TV all day if we let her (we don't) and the other can't sit still for more than 5 minutes.

My girls are 8 and 3. Night and day difference between them as well. However, both try to run the show with whatever they are doing. If you go to my site on the browse page just click on Number One and Number Two to see them.
